Purpose and Objectives
The Open Space and Parkland Advisory Committee (OSPAC) advises the City Council on matters related to natural open spaces, parklands, and areas proposed for dedication to the Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA).
The Committee's objectives are to make recommendations to the City Council on:
- Policies and procedures of the National Park Service as they relate to GGNRA lands within Pacifica and adjacent communities.
- The transfer of ownership of Cattle Hill and the Pedro Point Headlands to the National Park Service.
- Access to and operation of San Mateo County Parks within Pacifica, including San Pedro Valley County Park and the Devil's Slide Trail County Park.
- Ways in which these areas can contribute to the local economy.
The Committee was established by Resolution No. 21-2024.
Meeting Times and Location
OSPAC meets at 6:00 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month, unless otherwise noted. Meetings are generally held in the Pier Conference Room at 1800 Francisco Blvd., Pacifica. Meeting locations may occasionally change — please check the current agenda or contact the Planning Division at (650) 738-7341 for the most current information.
Ahni Trail Volunteer Workdays
Every second Saturday of the month | 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Participants must complete a Volunteer Release Form prior to participating. Minors must complete a Volunteer Release Form for a Minor.
