The City of Pacifica, Parks, Beaches & Recreation Department has resumed 45 minute limited Adult Lap Swim and Water Aerobics, between the hours of 8am-2pm, M-F, Water Aerobics T, W, and TH 10-10:45am & 11-11:45am at the Terra Nova High School (TNHS) Outdoor Swimming Pool. Please see attachment for what to expect to when you arrive at the TNHS Outdoor Swimming Pool, refunds for Pacifica Seniors above the age of 60, and a map of how to get to the Pool located at 1450 Terra Nova Blvd. Here is the Sign Up Genius link to register and pay for swim slots

Who is Jean?
Jean served on the Jefferson Union High School District Board of Trustees for twenty years (1988-2008). Jean is an avid swimmer and has been swimming here since the pool opened in 1978 as a Master Swimmer. Jean has been the unofficial "eye on the pool", alerting the District of user concerns, graffiti, or maintenance that needed attention. Over several years, she and other volunteers helped the Pacifica Sea Lions Swim Team with our beautiful tile mosaic on the far wall inside the pool building. As a resident of Pacifica, Jean has served her community beyond the realm of the Board of Trustees. She has volunteered for the City of Pacifica, Parks Beaches and Recreation Department, a committee person and volunteer for Pacifica's annual Fog Fest, a member of the Library Task Force and a volunteer at Sunset Ridge Elementary School. Her service has been recognized by the City of Pacifica as the Parks, Beaches and Recreation Department Volunteer of the Month and by the California Parks and Recreation Society's District IV
A Little History
In November of 1974, the residents of Pacifica passed Proposition C
and committed funds to help Jefferson Union High School District
with the construction of an indoor pool on the Oceana High School
Campus. Jefferson provided 65% of the funding and the residents
of the city 35%. The pool opened for business after 4 years
of construction, on June 19, 1978. Listed below are the school
district and city council members who had an active roll in
promoting and making this facility possible:
From San Francisco
Take Highway 1 south into Pacifica. Take the
Paloma/Francisco exit. At the end of the off-ramp
is a stop sign. At the sign take a left, crossing over the
Highway 1 overpass. After the overpass is a stop sign.
Continue east. After the next stop sign
half a block. Oceana Pool is the first driveway on your left.
From Half Moon Bay
Take Highway 1 north into Pacifica. Take the
Oceana/Clarendon exit. At the end of the off ramp
is a stop sign. Continue north for about 1/4 mile along
Oceana until you reach the next stop sign. At the
