CURRENT PROJECTS:
Sharp Park PDA Pedestrian Improvement Project
The Sharp Park PDA Pedestrian Improvement Project will be in construction from March-August 2025. The project will construct new ADA sidewalk, driveways, curb ramps, and will resurface and restripe Paloma Ave, Carmel Ave, and Santa Maria Ave between Beach Blvd and Francisco Blvd. To view more information please click here.
Esplanade & Palmetto Bicycle & Pedestrian Improvement Project
This project will provide a variety of bicycle and pedestrian improvements on portions of Palmetto Avenue, West Avalon Drive, and Esplanade Avenue. To view more information please click here.
FY 2025-26 Concrete Improvements Project
The project includes new ADA curb ramps, sidewalks, curb and gutter and installing hot mix asphalt and other miscellaneous work in various locations. To view more information please click here.
FY 2025-26 Pavement Resurfacing Project
The FY 2025-26 Pavement Resurfacing Project will resurface various streets in the City of Pacifica and follows the Council approved 5-year Street Maintenance Program. The Project will resurface streets in various streets (See Vicinity Map below) and includes rubber cape seal, slurry seal, double slurry seal, spot repairs, base repairs, pavement striping and other miscellaneous work. Full Trash Capture Stormwater Treatment Project
This project involves installing a Full Trash Capture (FTC) device at Esplanade Ave and Bill Drake Way to reduce trash in stormwater before it reaches the Pacific Ocean. The system will treat 310 acres of drainage, including 31 acres from Caltrans ROW.
Pacifica Municipal Pier Repair Project
The City of Pacifica is undertaking a comprehensive structural rehabilitation of the Pacifica Municipal Pier. Originally planned as a handrail repair project, the scope has expanded to include full structural repairs to the pier’s deck, girders, and supporting piles to ensure long-term safety and stability.
The pier is a cherished community landmark, providing recreational fishing, crabbing, and coastal access. These critical repairs will extend its service life and maintain its role as a public asset.
The City is actively working with consultants and state agencies to complete necessary assessments and secure funding for construction. Updates on project timelines and public access impacts will be provided as work progresses.

Highway 1/Manor Drive Overcrossing Improvement Project
The purpose of the project is to improve traffic circulation and operations and enhance pedestrian and bicycle access on and near the overcrossing.
