Dear Community Members,

We apologize for the inconvenience, but please be advised that the Higgins Trail entrance area will be under construction as part of roadway and utility improvements related to the development of two new homes. These improvements include a 150-foot roadway extension, 150 feet of retaining wall, drainage enhancements, a water main extension, and installation of a new fire hydrant.

Currently, trail access remains open with a 6-foot-wide fenced pedestrian pathway, which will stay in place until all improvements are complete. There have been some delays to this work, and a 1–2-day full closure of the trail access point may be required at some stage to complete the road paving work. If this occurs, the City will provide at least one week’s notice in advance to help minimize impacts to the community.
