The Pacifica Police Department’s Teen Academy is offered FREE of charge to Pacifica residents or Pacifica high school students between the ages of 14 and 18.

The Teen Academy is a leadership development opportunity where participants will learn about policing in Pacifica and how they can take an active role in keeping their community safe. This is accomplished by educating the participants about the different functions of the police department and the importance of youth and community partnerships.

The program will include a mix of lectures and FUN interactive demonstrations. Some of the topics and presentations covered in the program includes:

  • Police Officer Training and Recruitment, with mock interviews
  • Patrol Procedures
  • Traffic Safety and Enforcement
  • Criminal Investigations
  • Crime Scene Processing and Evidence Collection Demonstration
  • Use of Force and De-Escalation Training and Demonstration
  • K-9 Demonstration
  • And So Much More!!!

 The Teen Academy will begin on July 15, 2025, and meet Tuesday through Thursday from 2:00-5:00 p.m. for two weeks. Please complete the attached application, waiver, and attach a copy of your state issued driver’s license or identification card, or student identification card.

Applications can be delivered to the front counter of the police department, mailed to 2075 Coast Highway, Pacifica CA 94044, or emailed to biancullir@pacificapolice.org. Applications are due no later than Friday, June 20, 2025.
