 Swim Lesson Expectations

If a child does not listen to the instructions giving by the Manager, Guard, or Teacher they will first be given a verbal warning. If the actions or behavior continues, they will be giving a second warning and sat on the pool deck while it is not their turn to practice the skill. After a 3rd warning the child will be asked to leave the session and may come back the following session.

Managers on duty will have final say in all actions taken. 

Little Fishies

Age: 4 months - 4 years

In this class, we focus on creating a positive and enjoyable water experience for both parents and children. The aim is to build a comfortable, playful atmosphere where your child can gradually grow confident and familiar with the water. To ensure safety and a fun experience for all, plastic pants are required for children who are not yet potty trained. 

 

Froggies: Ages 4yr to 5yrs 11 months

Must be at least 42" tall

This class is designed for young children, focusing on water safety, comfort, and basic swimming skills. Through playful activities and gentle guidance, children will learn to float, kick, and move in the water, building confidence and trust in the aquatic environment. Parents are not in the water with the child.  

 

Group Lessons: Ages 6 and Up

Minimum 42" tall or of adequate skill level

All swimmers will be tested the first day to ensure they are in the correct group.

Sea Otters

This introductory swim class is perfect for those new to the water. It focuses on water safety, building comfort, and learning foundational skills such as floating, kicking, basic arm movements, and safe pool entry and exit.
Octopus
Designed for swimmers who are comfortable in the water and ready to expand on basic skills. This class improves technique in front crawl and backstroke and introduces floating, treading water, and simple breathing techniques. Completion of the Sea Otters is required.
Dolphins
This class is designed for swimmers who are already confident in the water and have mastered basic swimming skills. The focus will be on improving stroke technique—freestyle and backstroke—while also introducing breaststroke. Completion of the Octopus level is required before joining.

 

Found under Combination classes

Sea Horse

Swimmers focus on developing confidence and improving performance in front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke, and elementary backstroke. Skills like diving from the side of the pool, open turns, and treading water for longer durations are introduced. Endurance begins to build through increased swim distances.
Jellyfish
This level emphasizes refining all major strokes and introduces sidestroke and butterfly. Swimmers learn to perform flip turns and improve coordination and efficiency. Greater focus is placed on stroke technique, breathing control, and swimming longer distances with improved form and stamina.
Sharks
Prepares swimmers for competitive swimming or lifeguard training. It includes endurance training, advanced stroke refinement, and techniques like surface dives, underwater swimming, and rescue skills. Swimmers build speed, swim with efficiency over extended distances, and demonstrate mastery of all six strokes.
 

Semi-Private Lessons

Age: 5 & up

 Semiprivate Swim Lessons offer personalized instruction for two swimmers. These lessons focus on individual progress, stroke technique, water safety, and skill development in a more intimate setting. Participants receive tailored guidance to help them reach their goals at their own pace. This is a mixed age class.

Private Lessons

Age: 5 & up

Private swim lessons offer one-on-one instruction tailored to the swimmer's needs and goals. Focused on stroke technique, water safety, and skill development, these lessons provide personalized guidance at the swimmer's pace. Student must be 42" tall.

Adult Lessons

Age: 15 & up

The adult learns to swim class is designed for adults new to swimming. It focuses on building comfort in the water, learning basic strokes, water safety, and improving technique. Participants will gain confidence, learn to float and kick, and practice essential skills at their own pace.
