Adult Lap Swim Rules 18+

  1. Lifeguard instructions must be followed at all times. 

  2. Lap swim is for continuous swimming only. Please do not use lanes for recreational play or standing. 

  3. Circle swimming is required when sharing a lane with more than two swimmers. Stay to the right side of the lane. 

  4. Split the lane if only two swimmers are sharing. Communicate with each other before starting. 

  5. Lane 10 and Lane 1 are for water walking only. If it is empty and you choose to lap swim you must stop and get out when requested too. 

  6. Swim at an appropriate pace for your lane. Use designated fast, medium, or slow lanes if available. 

  7. Allow faster swimmers to pass. Rest at the end of the lane and stay to the corner to avoid blocking traffic. 

  8. Use proper swim attire—no street clothes or cotton materials allowed in the pool. 

  9. Kickboards, pull buoys, and fins are allowed during lap swim but must be used responsibly and put away at the end of your swim. 

  10. No diving, please enter feet first. 

  11. No hanging on lane lines or blocking the lanes. 

  12. Shower before entering the pool. 

  13. No food or drink on the pool deck (water in non-glass containers is allowed). 

  14. Swim at your own risk—inform staff of any medical concerns or conditions.

  1. Follow all lifeguard instructions at all times. 

  2. No running, roughhousing, or unsafe behavior on the pool deck. 

  3. Children under 6 yr or under 48 inches must be accompany by an adult in the water and wear a life jacket at all times even in shallow water. 

  4. Use proper swim attire—no street clothes or cotton materials allowed in the pool 

  5. No food/alcohol, glass containers, or gum on the pool deck. 

  6. Anyone intoxicated in any manner will be removed/denied access. 

  7. Only Coast Guard–approved lifejackets are permitted (no inflatables or water wings). 

  8. Swimmers must pass a swim test to enter the deep end. (no googles, jump in and fully submerge head, swim to other side without stopping or grabbing wall with face in the water) 

  9. Wristbands will be given to swimmers who pass the test and must be worn to enter the deep end including diving boards. 

  10. Parent with children under the age of 6 yr/48 inches may take the swim test and after passing may take kids to deep end and stay with in arms reach. 

  11. One person on the board at a time. 

  12. Wait until the area is clear before diving or jumping. 

  13. Forward-facing dives or jumps only (no flips, spins, or back dives). 

  14. Exit the diving area immediately after entering the water. 

  15. No swimming or playing under the diving boards. 

  16. No participants with lifejackets allowed on diving boards 

  17. No parents are allowed to wait in the water and catch children jumping off board. 

  18. Diving blocks are for swim team and swim lesson use only — not for recreation swim. (no hanging on, playing on, or using to club up) 

  19. Toys and balls are not allowed in the pool during recreation swim

LOST FOUND  

All Items turned into to staff or found in the faculty after closing will be put on to the front table.  

All items on table will be packed up on the first of each month and donated/tossed out.

Undergarments and other unsanitary items will be tossed out imminently.

For any lost jewelry, wallets or electronics please check in with staff. Items are stored separately. 

Staff are not responsible for any lost or stolen item that is are in the faculty.

 

Swim Pass Policy

  • All swim passes are nonrefundable.

  • Staff are not responsible for any lost or stolen passes.

  • Staff are not responsible for the pass binder. Please store your passes in the binder at your own risk.

  •
