DESCRIPTION:<p>&nbsp;</p><p align="center"><b>May 7, 2026</b></p><p>&nbsp;</p><h1>NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PUBLIC ART (MURAL)</h1><h1>&nbsp;</h1><p><b>NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN </b>that the Beautification Advisory Committee (BAC) of the City of Pacifica will conduct a<b> public hearing at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, May 19, 2026</b> at the Civic Center in the Pier Conference Room, located at 1800 Francisco Blvd., to consider the following:</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Peter Bogdanov, artist and owner of Liquid Walls, was selected to paint a mural on the Sharp Park Pump Station on Montecito Avenue, between Beach Boulevard and Palmetto Avenue, by the Wastewater Division of the Public Works Department of the City of Pacifica. They have applied to the City of Pacifica, via application guidelines instituted by the Beautification Advisory Committee, to create a mural at the Sharp Park Pump Station. Members of the public will have three minutes to address the BAC. At the public hearing, the Beautification Advisory Committee will consider all public input and will vote on whether to proceed with the project. “Any person(s) aggrieved by the decision of the BAC may complete and submit an <a href="https://www.cityofpacifica.org/home/showpublisheddocument/11980/638864464839630000">Appeal Form</a> with accompanying appeal fee of $606 within seven (7) business days from the decision date to the City Clerk’s Office, 170 Santa Maria Ave, Pacifica in accordance with the ‘Keep Pacifica Beautiful through Public Art Program’. Upon appeal, the City Council may approve, deny, or modify the decision of the BAC or refer the matter back to the BAC for reconsideration.</p>
