49th Annual Junior Olympics 2013 - at Terra Nova High School Track
City of Pacifica Parks, Beaches and Recreation Department, Pacifica Lions Club and the Roy Davies Memorial Fund present the 49th Annual Junior Olympics Track and Field Meet
Open to boys and girls ages 7-14, must be born in 1999-2006
Wed. May 1, at 3:30pm Finals for Groups III & IV (born 1999-2002)
Sat. May 4, at 9:00am Finals for Groups I & II (born 2003-2006)
Applications will be available at local schools, the PB&R Dept. office and the Community Center in March. Pre-registration required.

4th of July Celebration at Frontierland Park
Join us for lots of fun on July 4 from 11 am to 4 pm at Frontierland Park in Pacifica (Yosemite Dr. @ Humboldt Ct.)

Rocket Run - 5-Mile Run on July 4, 2013 Register online at available starting April 17th at http://activenet.active.com/pacifica or send in form. You can also register at the race starting 8 am at the Community Center.

31st Year of Family Fun Fest
Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013
1-4 pm at IBL Middle School Field, 1427 Palmetto Ave.
A free, hands-on, non-competitive day of games and crafts for the whole family!

Fog Jog 5-Mile Race or 3-Mile Stride Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013

Both race and stride start on Salada Ave. at 9am, rain, fog or shine!
Race-day registration is from 8 to 8:45am, $20 or signup early online at www.cityofpacifica.org/RecreationClasses or click here for mail-in registration form.

Halloween Spook-tacular
Tentative Dates for 2013
October 26th, 2013 - 5:30 - 8:30pm
October 27th, 2013 - 5:30 - 8pm
at the Pacifica Community Center, 540 Crespi Dr.
The entire building becomes a Haunted House!
$5 Entrance Fee
Fun carnival games for the little ones.

Discovery Hike
Join us for the annual anniversary hike, celebrating the European discovery of the San Francisco Bay by Gaspar de Portola on ? Nov. 2013 hike date TBD at 10am. More details

Holiday Extravaganza! A weekend of holiday fun!
Friday and Saturday, Dec. 6 and 7, 2013
Holiday Tree Lighting, Friday, December 6, at 5:30 pm featuring the 4th & 5th Grade Cabrillo School Chorus, refreshments and a visit from Santa! This annual tradition has continued since the 1990s.

Elf Market, Friday, December 6,  6 to 9 pm and Saturday, Dec. 7,  10 am to 4 pm
Pacifica’s very own unique craft fair! Shop for holiday gifts handcrafted by local artists and community organizations.

Santa’s Workshop, Saturday, Dec. 7, from 11 am to 2 pm $5 at the door — kids get to make a gingerbread house from scratch (no kits!) and using real frosting. Also, kids can do a holiday craft and visit with Santa!
Santa’s Workshop is co-sponsored by Oceana Market

Pacifica Senior Services’ 7th Annual 2013 Meals on Wheels Gift Basket Fundraiser
Proceeds to benefit Pacifica’s Meals on Wheels
Baskets will be displayed for silent auction bids at the Pacifica Community Center, 540 Crespi Dr. starting on Friday, December 6th at the Holiday Tree Lighting and Elf Market, 5:30—9pm and continuing through Monday, Dec. 9. Last bids at 4pm on Monday, Dec. 9. All proceeds from the auction will be used for the Meals on Wheels “A Night Out on the Town” event to take place in Feb. 2013.
