I have worked with dogs for 30 years and full time since 2000. For 20 years, I ran software sales organizations and trained salespeople in a variety of industries, but my passion was for animals. I now enjoy training canines full time, and teaching dog handlers as well as owners about canine basic obedience. I was the lead trainer at A LUCKY DOG where I designed, taught and certified their trainers nationwide. I also taught Petco Canine Education associates in Northern California how to be certified Petco trainers. I am currently a trainer for Animal Behavior College. I continue holding dog training classes every week at Petco, for the Pacifica Parks, Beaches and Recreation Dept. and in individual sessions. I specialize in behavior problems, and the dog training classes include puppy and basic obedience training, CGC (Canine Good Citizen) preparation classes, intermediate basic obedience and trick/clicker training.
I am a professional member of NAAB (National Association of Animal Behaviorists). I've also been qualified by The American Kennel Club to test for the Canine Good Citizen certification, and am a current member of APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers) and IACP (International Association of Canine Professionals). I am also current with my certification in Pet First Aid and am a trainer for the Red Cross Pet First Aid course. I am one of the founders and current president of POOCH - Pacifica Organization of Canine Helpers.
I began my education at UC Davis, got my MBA at CSU Sacramento and continue my canine education at ongoing courses including those from APDT, IACP and the University Of Colorado Veterinary School. I have basically gone to the dogs.
