Assistant City Manager
Located just south of San Francisco, Pacifica (pop. 37,234) feels worlds away. Offering charming, small town ambiance, six miles of shoreline, beaches, vistas, and open space, Pacifica is a full-service city (148 FTE/100 PT) with an overall budget of $49M (General Fund of $27M). Appointed by the City Manager, this position will oversee the finance, human resources and information technology departments in an organization that encourages creativity, collaboration, accountability, and transparency. Proven experience in local government management with an emphasis on budgeting and finance is required; tourism, economic development, community visioning, labor negotiations, and priority-based budgeting experience will be beneficial. Bachelor's degree in public/business administration or related field is required; Master's degree desired. Salary range is $160,000 - $182,520; 2.5% @ 55 CalPERS (classic).
