The City of Pacifica offers free or reduced-cost childcare to families who qualify. Sliding scale fees, based on income, are available for families that meet the income and need eligibility of our subsidized program. Funding for the subsidized component comes through the State of California Department of Education who also establishes the eligibility requirements for the program. I
The current (2007) income ceilings for all of the city subsidized programs are $3386 per month for families of 2 or less, $3628 for families of 3, $4031 for families of 4, and $4676 for families of 5. All income levels are gross income, before taxes and deductions are taken out. Space can be limited and slots will be filled on a first-come basis.
